Dr. Kevin Walsh

Dr. Kevin Walsh graduated from Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Dentistry in 1990 and began his career with the Canadian Forces Dental Services, serving in both Germany and Nova Scotia. In 1994, he and his wife, Stacey, established their practice in Windsor, Nova Scotia. Their daughter, Dr. Miranda Walsh, joined the practice in 2024, marking the start of a second generation of family dentistry.

Dr. Walsh has been an active leader within the profession, serving as President of the Nova Scotia Dental Association (2011) and Chair of the Provincial Dental Board of Nova Scotia (2018). He is a part‑time faculty member at Dalhousie University, an evaluator for the National Dental Examining Board, Chair of the Continuing Competence Committee for the NSRDDA, and a board member with CDSPI, a not‑for‑profit organization supporting the insurance and investment needs of Canadian dentists and their teams.

Clinically, Dr. Walsh has particular interests in endodontics, which he teaches at Dalhousie, and dental implantology, a field he has practiced in since 1999.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Walsh is an avid endurance athlete and mountaineer. He has completed multiple triathlons and has climbed six of the Seven Summits, including Mount Everest in 2021.

Dr. Miranda Walsh

Dr. Miranda Walsh grew up in Windsor, NS with dental being a huge part of her life. Following in the footsteps of her father, Dr. Walsh completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at Dalhousie University after she graduated from Acadia University, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. The pull of home has brought her back to NS after starting her dental career in Calgary, AB.

She is passionate about building strong relationships with patients, in order to provide them with the best possible care. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, and excels at working with children. Dr. Walsh also can provide nitrous oxide treatment to patients.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Emma Jesso

Emma completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2019 from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She was raised in a small rural community on the west coast of Newfoundland and lived there most of her life. She moved to Nova Scotia 7 years ago to complete her degree in Doctor of Dental surgery, graduating in 2023. She likes meeting new patients and getting to know people in the community. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities, travelling with her spouse and spending time with family in Newfoundland.

Tim Denturist

Tim is experienced in and dedicated to creating quality, custom dentures for every patient, whether a partial, full, or implant-retained denture. He takes pride and enjoys the challenges in correcting smiles and refitting dentures allowing patients to eat properly and enjoy their smile. Tim looks forward to meeting you and helping you to maintain your healthy, happy smile.

Daniela MendiesSterilization Technician

Daniela was born in Nepal to diplomatic parents from the former Czechoslovakia. She began university at age 17, earning both a medical degree and a Doctorate in Dentistry. After practicing in Nepal, she established a successful dental practice in Prague, caring for a distinguished clientele that included political leaders, celebrities, and film industry professionals. Following an accomplished international career, Daniela relocated to Nova Scotia and joined West Hants Dental. We are proud to have her expertise, experience, and passion for patient care as part of our team.

Stephanie Dental Hygienist

Stephanie has been a passionate and caring Dental Hygienist since graduating from Dalhousie in 2010. She values getting to know her patients and building those relationships. Often referred to as “gentle but thorough”, she takes pride in providing complete and individualized care to her patients. Outside of giving people healthy happy smiles, she can be found playing softball, doing Zumba, or spending time with her three precious fur babies (Gauge: yellow lab, Raeya: black lab, Ori: kitty cat), and of course her husband too.

Bailey Dental Hygienist

Bailey is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles. She enjoys building relationships with patients and making every visit a positive experience. When not at the office, you'll find her at the gym, checking out new restaurants and recipes, or spending time with family and friends.

Claire Dental Assistant

Claire is a mom first to 3 boys heading in to their teenage era, 2 crazy dogs that are always up to good hike and gets a little too excited over a new plant to add to her little tropical oasis. Passionate about health and fitness, Claire is always pushing herself to do and be better and hitting personal best. You'll find Claire cheering on her boys, training for something crazy, laughing too loud with friends, paddleboarding or hiking with her pups, and enjoying weekdays with her favorite work family!

Tiffannie Dental Assistant

Tiffannie is one of our dedicated registered dental assistants who has been with us since 2017. She earned her dental assisting certification from NSIT campus in 2007. Tiffannie is passionate about making patients feel comfortable and at ease in the dental chair, or you see her at the front desk working as part of our administration team. In her free time she enjoys family time, camping, fishing, boating, gardening and tending to her new family additions... the chickens.

Terra Regional Manager

Terra brings a positive, organized presence to the team and is passionate about making our workplace smooth and enjoyable for everyone. She loves problem-solving, supporting her colleagues, and keeping the office running like clockwork. When she’s not at work, Terra can usually be found sipping a great cup of coffee and doting on her cats — the real bosses at home!

Natalie Regional Manager

Natalie is a Registered Dental Assistant who graduated from SAIT in 2004 and has over 15 years of experience in the dental industry. Known for her strong leadership and commitment to patient care, she has helped grow both team culture and new patient numbers. Outside of work, Natalie is a proud mom of three and the founder of Hockey Girl Gurl, a clothing brand empowering girls in hockey.

Stacey Front Desk Administrator

With 18 years experience in the office Stacey B knows her way around running the patient schedule and insurance’s. She’s the one that will be giving you a warm welcome with a smile to start your visit with us. When she’s away from her office family she spends her time with her husband as a Meemah to her grandkids. Some of her passions are painting, lake time at Wallaback, energy work, creatures in general and mud runs on the side by side.
